Kerry defeated Roscommon,Armagh and Kildare to reach the S/Finals and were defeated in extra time by Westmeath in Kinegad on Saturday Last ,Local player was Brendan OLeary,
Senior Hurling Championship Rd 3 on Friday night St Brendans vs. Causeway @ 6.30pm and on Saturday night Crotta vs.Lixnaw @ 6.30pm in Austin Stacks Park Tralee.

All-Ireland B Q/ Final: Kerry 3-25 Fermanagh 1-8
Kerry advanced to the semi finals of the All-Ireland Under 21 Hurling Champonship with an easy win over Fermanagh Local Players were Darragh O'Connell scored 8 points, PJ Keane played at Corner Back and Brian O'Leary played at Centre Back.
Firies Golf Outing
Well done to our Golf players Ger Doyle , Mike Leen, Ian Maunsell and Tommy O'Halloran who came second with 98 points in the Firies GAA Golf Club Tournament picking up a marvelous 2nd prize of a round of Golf at Adare Manor for four,and the four tigers had a wonderfull day.

AIB County Senior Hurling Championship: Causeway 1-15 Abbeydorney 0-8
Causeway advanced to the 3rd round of the senior hurling championship after a very poor performance from Abbeydorney on Sunday evening, This game was as good as over after half time when Causeway were up 1-10 to 0-3, Causeway strolled into a lead 1-4 to 0-2 when Abbeydorney were awarded a penalty for a free on Nigel Roche which Darragh O'Connell pointed and Causeway adding points before half time.
The second half was dire stuff indeed with the Club adding 5 points in the second half. Abbeydorney's hot and cold performances would put you thinking.

County Under 12 Hurling Semi Final: Kilmoyley 6-3, Abbeydorney 3-10
Abbeydorney U12’s were very unlucky to lose to Kilmoyley on a scoreline of 3-10 to 6-3.They led the whole game only to concede two last minute goals this was a very good performance from the under 12 team as they played one of there best games of the year in Abbeydorney with a few simple mistakes going against them in the end.

All-Ireland Minor B Q/Final Kildare 2-24, Kerry 4-17 Venue Newbridge Kildare.
Kerry minor hurlers bid to retain the All-Ireland B title came to an end on Saturday last by a single point from a 65 yard free against the breeze and to win from Kildare's Centre Forward Conor Kenny who scored 10 points in all. Kildare had very big players in vital positions. Kerry fought back well after going in at the break down 2-11 to 2-6. Kerry's scores came from Danny Casey 1-0, Padraig Boyle 1-0, Shane Dunne 1-3, Sean Weir, Anthony Fealy and Daniel Collins 1point each.
Kerry turned this match around in the closing stages of the second half despite missing scoring chances earlier , 4 points down with 6 minutes to go and down to 14 players Kerry put in a very brave battle to draw this match at 2-18 to 3-15.
In extra time Padraig Boyles attempt was well saved by Kildare's keeper Cormac Gallagher a vital goal chance with Kerry going ahead and Kildare coming back to level the match. Referee Fergus Smith awarded Kildare a 65 meter free against the breeze and Kildare's top player Conor Kenny sent over a brilliant point to deny Kerry's 2nd bid for the title.

Abbeydorney will play Causeway in the losers round of the Senior hurling Championship as a double up on Sunday 15th August @ 3.30pm. The Seniors put up a brave performance against Kilmoyley in their last outing so lets hope for a bigger effort on Sunday. Good luck to Players and Management and all our supporters please support.

Played in Lixnaw on Wednesday evening last Abbeydorney looked the sharper scoring 1-3 to no score in the opening minutes but Lixnaw were back on level terms after 16 minutes with O'Dorney going in at the break 3-9 to 2-7. Abbeydorney's scores came from David Doyle 2-0, Barry Sheehan 1-2, Brian O'Donovan 0-3, Kieran Hannifin and Aidan Healy 0-2 each while Lixnaw had Enda Galvin 2-1, James Flaherty 0-5, and John Griffin 1pt
Abbeydorney scored 2 points from Aidan Healy in the second half to Lixnaw's 7 points from Enda Galvin 0-2, James Flaherty 0-4, Padraig Fitzmaurice 1pt.

2010 North Kerry Memorial Under 16 Hurling Final: Abbeydorney 3-19 Ballyheigue 2-7 Venue Causeway.
Abbeydorney's Under 16 team captured the John Joe Nolan Memorial trophy in style on Thursday night last with O'Leary brothers Michael and Brendan in top form. Michael scored 3-9 in total with 2-4 before half time, Brendan O'Leary best score which came from a side cut and he added 4pts and Steve O'Sullivan 1pt while Ballyheigue had Paudie Carroll and their full forward Tomas Casey in top form.
In the second half Abbeydorney were under pressure but Michael O'Leary added 1-5 and Brendan O'Leary 0-5 and young David Egan added a peach of a point in the end.
We had very good displays from Sean Quirke, Alex O'Mahoney,Stephen Egan,Jack McCarthy and O'Leary brothers and Captain Sean O'Mahoney in goals.
After the match Pat Dineen Fixtures Secretary thanked Causeway club and Referee Butch Fealy and both clubs for a good sporting game, he presented the John Joe Nolan Trophy to Abbeydorney Captain Sean O'Mahoney who returned from injury to play in the final.

Div 3 County Junior Hurling League: Austin Stacks 1-10 Abbeydorney 1-9 Venue Connolly Park Tralee.
Played in Connolly park on Wednesday evening last Austin Stacks were ahead at half time 1-4 to 0-5 with Gordon Kerins playing well for Stacks at full forward, Abbeydorney's points came from Mark Callaghan and Stephen O'Connor 2 each and Bill Maunsell 1point and were reduced to 14 players from the early stages of the first half which was to prove very costly in the end. Brian Fealy scored a good goal in the second half and Stacks added points to win this match by the minimum.
