Abbeydorney Junior team reached the final of the 2007 North Kerry Junior League on Friday night last with a scoring display from this team. Abbeydorney lead at H/T by 1-9 to 1-4 with O'Dorney scores coming from Tim Fealy (1-4), Ian Maunsell (0-2), Tom O'Connell(0-1), Damien Ryall (0-1), Bill Maunsell (0-1).

GAA Pitch Development 2007: Abbeydorney GAA Pitch was ploughed up on Wednesday in the first phase of this big Development and with sand arriving every day from Quirkes Quarry. Work will begin with drainage of the surface in the next few weeks.
Development Committee are working hard with their Night at the Dogs which will be our fundraiser for our development held at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium Tralee on June16th 2007.
Any Business that wish to get involved in this Night at the Dogs are more than welcome with Advertisements and Nominations of Dogs on sale shortly

Abbeydorney U11 team had a good win in their opening round of the North Keery Championship, Four goals in the first half by Adam Buckley, Cian McCarthy, and Michael O'Leary (2) and Points from Michael O'Leary and Stevie OSullivan kept Abbeydorney well ahead at half time 4-2 to 2-1. Michael O'Leary and Stephen Egan added points in the second half and 3 more goals from Michael O'Leary.David Egan, and Ronan Donovan each.

Abbeydorney U16 suffered a heavy defeat on Tuesday evening last when Lixnaw were up 3-10 to 0-5 at half time. Lixnaw added 8pts to O'Dorneys single point from Brian Leen. Lixnaw were well able to take their scores from any angle.
North Kerry Intermediate League: Abbeydorney 2-11 Kilmoyley 1-14 Venue Lerrig Wednesday 18th
Kilmoyley played with a very young outfit for this Intermediate game played at lerrig with the local team well up in the first half 0-9 to 0-3 with O'Dorneys points coming from Tom O'Connell and Tim Fealy(0-2). Abbeydorney played much better in the second half with Ian Maunsell coming on as a sub to centre forward and made a big difference in attack. Abbeydorney levelled matters on three occasions when Tim Fealy scored (2-2) and points from Tom O'Connell, William O'Leary, David Doyle, Ian Maunsell (0-2). Andy McCarthy Kilmoyley struck for a good goal in the final stages and Abbeydorney drew this match with a free in the final moments to a lively second half.

2007 Sports Capital Programme: Sports Minister John ODonoghue unveiled an €85 million windfall to help sporting organizations across the Country, Abbeydorney GAA Club has been provisionally allocated €70.000 in their Second phase Application for lighting. This was a great boost to the Club as they were preparing to start work in the first phase All- Weather Surface this week with Allmans Contractors Spraying off the Pitch on Tuesday. The Pitch Will be completely closed off to all members and training will start at Roches Field entrance to Abbey. No Parking is Allowed on the Entrance to the Kyrie Eleison Abbey. All Trainers and Players are asked to be careful in our new training grounds as we are limited with area of ground. Co- operation is needed from all Members for this plan to succeed and Thanks to Minister O'Donoghue for our Second Grant.
