Lee Strand County Under 16 hurling League Div 2: Abbeydorney/ Crotta 1-11 Kilmoyley 2-07 Venue Lerrig
Abbeydorney/ Crotta under 16s struggled to defeat Kilmoyley especially in the first half when more should have registered against them and kilmoyley leveled matters just a the break with two well taken goals, in the second half we just kept in front by the minimum of margins , Best for Kilmoyley were Jordan Brick and Michael O'Leary for Abbeydorney.

North Kerry Senior League: Abbeydorney 1-15 St Brendan's 2-9 Venue Abbeydorney
A goal at each end after 15 minutes of play with both teams going in level at half time 1-06 a piece, Kieran Hannafin 1-1, Nigel Roche, Mike Hannafin Brian O'Donovan Damien Ryall and Aidan Healy 1 point each, while St Brendan's had John Paul Leen Brian Egan and Denis Moriarty in top form.
Abbeydorney conceded a soft second half goal and this kept St Brendan's in touch till the end of a poor NK Senior match. Best for Abbeydorney were Aidan Healy and John Paul Leen for St Brendan's. This NK Senior Final is down for 15 or 16th April - more details later.

North Kerry Minor Hurling Final (Jimmy Walker Shield):
St Brendan's 4-14 Abbeydorney/ Crotta 1-7 venue Ballyheigue.
A very poor show by the Minor team on Sunday afternoon last with very poor shooting up front cost them dearly, St Brendan's were the more balanced side and were in a comfortable lead at half time 3-8 to 0-5 with St Brendan's midfielder Donie MacKessey Daniel Finnegan and Padraig Kearney and Cian Hussey causing plenty damage.
Abbeydorney were chasing this game from the start and did not get going at all for the hole game as St Brendan's blew them off the ball on several occasions and the Minor team will have to play as a team if they are to go anywhere from here on.
Team Panel; Tom McElligott, Sean Quirke, Tom McElligott, Alex OMahoney, Stephen Egan , Brendan O'Leary, Barry Horgan, Tony Cunningham, Stephen O'Connor, Stevie OSullivan, Mike O'Leary, Sean OMahoney, Darren OSullivan, Daniel O'Leary, Aaron Conway, Subs Jack Sheehan, Garry Neenan.

Book
A follow-up to the book “Our Own Place” is presently being compiled and nearing completition.
This publication concentrates mainly on photographs from the Abbeydorney catchment area from 1870 to the year 2000.
While the publication will have over 1, 000 photographs it will also contain much information on our community and provide us with details on the hardships and triumphs of our ancestors.
It is over five years since we made an appeal for photographs and the response at that time was overwhelming and many of those will be in the publication.
Unfortunately photographs from the earlier years, 1870 to 1930 are proving difficult to locate, we are now making an appeal for photographs from this period. Churches, Creameries, Old GAA, Schools, Forges, Old Buildings, Farming, Wedding photographs etc. Photographs can be brought to Abbeydorney Post Office to be copied or phone 066 7135048 for more information.
