Abbeydorney's opening score came from Stephen O'Connor with a points from play when Lixnaw struck for a well taken goal from Aidan O'Sullivan a point from Galvin O'Connor when Abbeydorney replied with a goal from Daniel O'Leary. O'Dorney added points from Michael O'Leary (0-1), Stephen O'Connor (0-2), Daniel O'Leary (0-4) before Half Time to lead 1-8 to 1-1.

The Black and Amber boys battled away in the second half with Daniel O'Leary rattling the net with 2 good goals. Lixnaw were denied a goal chance with a great save from Robert Colbert and Abbeydorney continued to dominate with points from Daniel O'Leary (0-5), Tony Cunningham (2-1) ,Stephen O'Connor (0-4), Michael O'Leary (0-2)

Abbeydorney U14 Team recorded their second win in the league over Duagh in the North Kerry Minor (Michael Hennessy Shield) on Tuesday evening last, 3 goals from Michael O'Leary, Stevie O'Sullivan and Tony Cunningham and points from Stephen O'Connor (0-4), Michael O'Leary (0-2), Daniel O'Leary (0-3) kept Abbeydorney well ahead at H/T 3-9 to 1-1.
Daniel O'Leary scored 1-3 in the second half and points from Stephen O'Connor (0-2) and Stevie O'Sullivan (0-1) and Duagh scored (1-1).

Kenmare rattled Abbeydorney in the opening 5 minutes with 2 early goals but the Black and Amber boys battled back to lead at H/T by 2 points in a good lively hurling match. Brian Leen was in top form scoring 1-7 and was well assisted by Daniel O'Mahoney (0-2) and Stephen O'Connor (1-1) and Chris McCarthy,

All-Ireland U16 B Hurling Championship: The Kerry U16 Hurling Team will be participating in the All-Ireland U16 Championship in Westmeath on Saturday August 25th.The 2007 Championship sees a new format in place where all teams will play in groups of four in a blitz formula. Kerry will be in Group 2 with Laois, Wicklow, and Armagh and will be based in Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath.
 
Tony Forristal U14 Hurling Tournament: The Waterford Crystal Sponsored annual Tony Forristal U14 Inter County Hurling Championship takes place in Waterford City on Saturday and Sunday August 25th & 26th. This year the kingdom are in Group 3 and will be based in St Saviours Grounds in Waterford with Waterford B and Antrim making up the Group. Kerry's last victory in this competition was in 2003 when they defeated Laois 2-6 to 1-7 in the Final with PJ Keane Abbeydorney Captaining the Team. (Daniel O'Leary and Stephen O'Connor will represent the club from Abbeydorney this year)
 
Ex-Committee Monthly Meeting of Abbeydorney Gaa Club will be held on Tuesday August 21st @ 9.45pm. All Committee Members are requested to attend.

Abbeydorney had an easy win in the North Kerry League up 3-9 to 0-1. Lixnaw came more into the game in the second half scoring 1-6 to Abbeydorney's 1-6

Minor Hurling Championship Crotta O'Neill's 0-10, Abbeydorney 0-9 Venue Dromakee Friday August 10th
This was a tight contest between two teams  with score for score in each end of the field. Both teams failed to score in the opening minutes from frees in slippery conditions after it had rained heavily on Friday. Darragh O'Connell opened Abbeydorney's score from a free  and was O'Dorneys main scorer in the first half scoring 0-4 and PJ Keane with 1 point. Jason Fealy  was unlucky not to get a goal after his blistering shot came off the crossbar. 
At H/T Abbeydorney 0-5 Crotta 0-3. In the second half Darragh O'Connell added 3 points with Crotta O'Neill's Shane Nolan being denied a goal chance when the sliotar came off the goalposts. PJ Keane finished with a pointed 65 yard free while Shane Nolan finished with a good point to win this match. Abbeydorneys final chance to level matters with a 65 yard free in the final minutes  failed to happen for the Black and Ambers boys.
