AIB County Senior Hurling Championship Q/Final: Abbeydorney 1-11 Lixnaw 0-11 Venue Austin Stacks Park 25th August.
Enda Galvin opened with a point for Lixnaw and O'Dorney responded with 2 points from Darragh O'Connell and Kieran Dineen with both sides exchanging points from free takers with Darragh O'Connell scoring 0-4 and James Flaherty 0-4 from frees and 1 from play and Kieran Dineen and Nigel Roche with a point each and John Griffin and Paudie Lyons with 1 each. The sides were level at the break 0-8 each with Abbeydorney playing with the breeze.
Lixnaw side pushed 2 points ahead with 2 pointed frees from James Flaherty and O'Dorney looked to be losing the momentum at this stage when Nigel Roche struck for a well taken goal at 10 minutes into the second half which turned the game in O'Dorneys favour and this put a bit of life back into the team. Sub Paul McElligott came on and scored a good point but 2 good points from play and a free by Darragh O'Connell when Lixnaw were reduced to 14 players after 23 minutes of the second half with James Flaherty finishing with an excellent point from the sideline with Abbeydorney holding out with just 3 points to spare. Well done to all players and management.

All-Ireland Under 21 B Hurling Semi Final: Kerry 2-10 Kildare 0-14 Venue Cloughjordan Tipperary on Saturday 22nd August
The Kerry under 21 Hurling team have reached the final with Kerry team up at the interval 2-6 to 0-10 with 2 goals from Darragh O'Connell to put Kerry ahead at vital stages. Both teams scored 4 points in the second half and Kerry held out to win and will now have to play Roscommon in the final. Abbeydorney Club was represented by Brian O'Leary and Darragh O'Connell, and we send our best wishes to this Kerry team in the final.
The team is managed by John Myler Cork, Selectors John Hennessy Ballyduff, Phil Stack St Brendan's.

ESB All-Ireland Minor B Hurling Final Kerry 0-21 Westmeath 1-13 Venue Cloughjordan Tipperary on Saturday 22nd August.
Kerry Minor hurlers brought a bit pride back to Kerry Hurling scene with a very promising display on Saturday in Cloughjordan, Co. Tipperary against Westmeath. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half with Kerry playing against the breeze and went in at the interval down by 1 point, Westmeath 1-7 to Kerry 0-9.
Kerry upped the tempo after the break and added points from Sean Weir, Patrick O'Keeffe and Alan O'Leary and Colm Harty which were as good a points you would see in any All-Ireland Final. Westmeath had their homework well done with Kerry's main players well marked but the team showed real pride and finished with 12 points in the second half to Westmeath's 0-5. Well done to Gerard McCarthy Manager, Joe Walsh Hurling Officer, Andy O'Sullivan, and Joe Walsh Kilmoyley and Mike Leen.
Abbeydorney Club was well represented by Brian Leen (Captain),Stephen O'Connor, Daniel O'Mahoney, Chris McCarthy, Jason Fealy and Mike Leen (Selector).
After the final whistle Jimmy O'Gorman Chairman of Munster Council Presented the Minor Cup to Kerry's Minor Captain Brian Leen from Abbeydorney.
The Kerry supporters also deserve a mention for all that traveled to both matches at Cloughjordan with the teams getting a good reception in Lixnaw and Abbeydorney on their way home after the game.

The Kerry Under 14 Hurling team will take part in the Tony Forrestal Hurling Tournament on next Saturday in Waterford with the Kerry team in Div 2 group with Meath and Carlow in this group.

ESB All-Ireland Minor B Hurling Championship Semi Final: Kerry 4-23 Meath 0-10 Venue Toomevara, Saturday 15th August.
A much improved Kerry hurling team made no mistake with this semi final on Saturday in Toomevara with Padraig Boyle from Ballyduff scoring 3-8 and Shane Nolan Crotta 1-7, Shane Dunne Ballyheigue 0-2 , Brian Leen Abbeydorney 0-3, Stephen Leen St Brendan's 0-2 and Patrick O'Keefe Glenflesk 0-1.
Abbeydorney Club was represented by Brian Leen (captain), Stephen O'Connor, Chris McCarthy, Jason Fealy, Daniel O'Mahoney and Mike Leen Selector and the Final for this competition is down for next week with Kerry to play Westmeath with venue and time TBC.

St Brendan's were in a comfortable lead at half time up 2-7 to no score and added 0-5 points in the second half with Causeway scoring 1-4 in the second half Thomas Maloney was St Brendan's best player and John Egan, Owen McCarthy, Causeway had John Mike Dooley 0-4 and Cyril Dineen 1-0.
Full Time score: St Brendan's 2-12 Causeway 1-4.
In the second semi Finals Crotta O'Neill's won this match with Andrew Keane scoring 0-10 from frees and play and Shane Nolan and Sean Weir scoring a goal and a point each. Ballyheigue had Michael Boxer Slattery with 0-7, Brendan O'Sullivan
0-3 main scorers.
Full Time score: Crotta 3-12 Ballyheigue 0-17.
The Final game on Sunday evening was between Ballyduff and Kilmoyley with Ballyduff in control from the start and up at half time 1-6 to 0-5. Kilmoyley struggled to shake off Ballyduff for long periods and Shane Brick scoring 0-11, Eoin Sheehy
0-2, Billy Brick, Sean Maunsell and Paul McCarthy 0-1 each. Ballyduff had Bobby O'Sullivan 0-8 and Thomas O'Rourke 1-1, Liam Boyle 0-1.

County Intermediate Championship Semi Final: Ballyheigue 0-19 Abbeydorney 3-4 Venue Ballyheigue Monday 10th August.
Abbeydorney went into a 2-2 lead after 10 minute but failed to maintain that performance in the second half when they were up at half time 2-3 to 0-8. Abbeydorney struggled big time in the second half conceding frees which cost them in the end. Ballyheigue added 0-11 and Abbeydorney had 1-1 in the second half.

All-Ireland Minor B Hurling Championship Q/Final: Kerry 3-19 Kildare 3-13 Venue Austin Stacks Park Tralee Sat 8th August.
The Kerry Minor hurling team went in at half time down by 1 point 1-9 to 1-8 after a very sluggish performance but improved in the second half with a mighty performance from the minor team when they went down by 4 points and gradually pegged away at a very strong Kildare team scoring 2-11 in the second half and the team was captained by a Abbeydorney man Brian Leen

Seandun Under 15 Inter-County Hurling Tournament
The Kerry Under 15 hurling team did very well on Saturday last playing Inter County Hurling tournament in Cork playing Tipperary, Cork and Limerick in the final losing by 5pts Kerry 2-10 Limerick 3-12. Brendan O'Leary from Abbeydorney was Kerry Player of the Tournament. Also on the panel were Sean O'Mahoney, Sean Quirke, Barry Horgan, Alex O'Mahoney, Brendan O'Leary and (Missing on the day was Stephen Egan).
Kerry Under 14 Hurling Team
The Kerry Under 14 team will be travelling to Cork in a Munster Hurling Iniative for 2 days and we will have local players involved in this with Stevie O'Sullivan, John Shanahan, and Michael O'Leary on the team.

North Kerry Under 14 Hurling B Championship Final: Ballyduff 9-8 Abbeydorney 2-4 Venue Ballyduff on Tuesday last.
Ballyduff had a much more balanced side for this final on Tuesday night last with Sean Browne scoring 4-3 also Ballyduff had Kevin Bowler, John Dowling, and Ballyduff keeper Seamus Theigh who deserves a mention with his excellent saves. Michael O'Leary scored 1-4 for Abbeydorney in the first half and added his second goal 8 minutes into the second half but this was a young team out and the majority of players are under age for next year.

County Minor Hurling Championship Crotta/ Duagh 3-10 Abbeydorney 2-9 Venue Abbeydorney Monday 29th July.
Abbeydorney and Crotta/Duagh contested the first round of the minor Hurling Championship on Monday night last at Abbeydorney with the black and amber boys playing against a stiff breeze in the first half and went in at half time down 1 point with a goal in the 14th minute by Tony Cunningham but Crotta responded with a goal from Shane Nolan from a free on the 30 meter line and 2 points from Sean Weir, Shane Nolan and Eoin Kelly and a goal just before half time brought them back into the lead were crottas scorers at half time. Abbeydorney's scores came from Brian Leen (0-2f), Daniel O'Leary Mike McCarthy and Jason Fealy.
At Half time Crotta/Duagh 2-5 Abbeydorney 2.4.
Shane Nolan roamed from the full forward line in the second half and added 3 points for Crotta and O'Dorney had Jason Fealy and Daniel O'Leary and 2 from frees by Brian Leen with Sean O'Mahoney finishing with a good point. Crotta finished with a Shane Nolan ball to Eoin Kelly long shot that went all the way to the net to finish the game even though the Minor Team played well.

Crotta/Duagh went into a early lead with 2 goals in the 7th and 9th minute by David Behan and Raymond Nolan and points by Oisin Mangan and Darragh Regan 0-2 and a goal by David Loughlin just before half time gave them a 7 point lead Crotta 3-6 Abbeydorney 1-5.
Michael O'Leary rallied O'Dorney with 1-8 in the second half from frees and play and 1 point from Colm McCarthy. Crotta responded with points from Oisin Mangan 0-2 and a goal to level matters in the last few minutes but Abbeydorney last attack from a long range free was deflected into the net by Aaron Conway to give O'Dorney a 3 point win and set them up for a final with Ballyduff next Tuesday evening with away venue.
