Coaching Course: Kerry Coach Maurice Leahy is available to do a basic Coaching Course on Tuesdays 5th, 12th and 19th February 2008. Minimum - 8 Maximum - 20 people. Starting at 7.30pm to 9.30pm @ Abbeydorney Community Parish Hall.

North Kerry Board AGM: The North Kerry Hurling Board Annual General Meeting was held at the impressive Ballyduff new Club Meeting Rooms. All club delegates were present for this meeting with Jerome Conway County Chairman and Joe Walsh Hurling Development Officer guest speakers.
Pat Dineen Kilmoyley was the only nomination for fixtures officer.

County Board Meeting: Hurling Meeting Kerry County Board meeting with all Hurling Clubs will be held on Monday 28th at 8.30pm at pavilion Austin Stacks Park Tralee.

Development Meeting: The GAA Development meeting due to be held on this Monday had to be changed to Thursday 31st January 2008 @ 9.30pm in GAA Complex

Reminder: Abbeydorney GAA Club 2nd last monthly draw will be held next Sunday 3rd February.
All Club Promoters please have draw books in by 9pm Fixtures.

AGM: The North Kerry Hurling Board AGM will be held next Thursday 24th January in Ballyduff new dressing rooms.

Kerry County Board monthly Meeting will be held on next Monday 21st January 2008 at 8.00pm.

County Scór Sinsear Competitions for 2008: County Semi Finals for North Kerry will be held on Friday 22nd February 2008 in Abbeydorney Community Parish Hall and for South Kerry will held on Saturday 23rd January in Arus Padraig.

GAA Club Development Meeting: Abbeydorney GAA Club Development Committee will hold their First Development meeting on Monday week 28th January at 8pm at Abbeydorney Community Parish Hall.

Senior Hurling Selector: Congratulations to Tom O'Connell on being nominated as Kerry Senior Hurling Selector recently.

Annual GAA Social Abbeydorney GAA Club in association with Abbeydorney Ladies Football Club held their Annual Social at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Saturday Night last with over 200 people in attendance.
The Ladies Football Club were first up with Chairperson Margaret McKenna giving a run down on previous year.
Ladies County Board Officer Catherine Keogh was also made a speech.
Ladies Player of the Year went to Minor Sinead MacKessy, Intermediate Catherine Sexton, Senior Breda Slattery. Tommy O'Connor and Maurice O'Mahoney representing North Kerry and Kerry County Board made speeches;
also Gerry Treanor on behalf of GAA Club.
Senior Player of Year Award went to Eoin Egan,
Junior/Intermediate Player of Year went to Fergal Roche, and
Minor Player of Year Award went to Darragh O'Connell,
Special Merit Award went to Aidan Healy and Kieran Dineen representing Ireland in Shinty at Senior and Under 21. Club Person of the year went to the famous man himself Eamon Leen, and the
Hall of Fame Award went to Diarmuid O'Connor.
Special Presentations on the night were made to the 1957 Minor Hurling team by Canon Jack McKenna who came all the way from Dingle to be there on the night.

U14 Team North Kerry League Winners

Abbeydorney Juvenile Bord na nOg held its Presentation Night on Friday Night at the GAA Clubhouse.
Medal Presentations were made to the North Kerry Under 14 (Todd Nolan memorial Shield winners) by Michael Hannifin Senior Captain for 2007.

GAA Social at Ballyroe Heights Hotel Abbeydorney. GAA Social in association with Abbeydorney Ladies Football Club will be held at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Next Saturday 12th January at 8.30pm.
Special Guests on the night will include Members of the 1957 Minor Hurlng Team, Hall of Fame Awards and Club Person of the Year Awards for both Clubs, Medal Presentations to North Kerry Junior and Minor Teams.

Happy New Year

Abbeydorney Bord na nÓg held their AGM on Tuesday 18th December at the GAA Clubhouse with a poor attendance for this AGM with 11 Members attending. All Parents were notified through the local schools and Kerry Radio Sports Programme but so close to Christmas didn't help the situation.
Chairman Tom Healy thanked all the trainers who helped out throught the year; also the parents and young members who did the bag packing at Dunne's Stores which was our main fundraiser.
Secretary Kathleen Hayes gave a run down on all matches for the year and congratulated the Under 14 Team winning the North Kerry Championship.
Juvenile Membership was set at €10 per Member and €20 for Family.
Bord na nÓg Presentation Night will be next Friday night 4th January at 7pm.
