Kerry have been drawn to play against Monaghan in the All Ireland 3rd round Qualifiers. The times and dates for the games will be announced tomorrow after the CCCC meeting. Kerry will be playing on Saturday, Sunday or Monday next at a neutral venue. The other draws were : Tyrone v Mayo, Down v Wexford, Kildare v Fermanagh.
VHI Summer Camps will be held this week in Crotta O'Neill's and Renard for Hurling and Castlegregory, Farranfore, Tarbert, Portmagee, and Beaufort for Football from July 28th - August 1st.
Keanes Super Valu Minor Hurling League: Abbeydorney 2-10 Kilmoyley 1-10 Venue Lerrig Friday 25th July
Abbeydorney went into an early lead with a point from Daniel O'Leary and 3 points from Brian Leen when Daniel Mahoney's shot at goals was well saved by Kilmoyley's young Vincent Savage but Jason Fealy collected the rebound and made no mistake with a well taken goal. Kilmoyley added 5 points from frees from Edward Griffin and Brian Leen had a point for Abbeydorney before half time 1-6 each.nKilmoyley added 4 points in the second half from Timothy O'Brien, Conor Fitzell and Edward Griffin 1-2 while Abbeydorney had Brian Leen in top scoring form with 4 points from frees and play. Abbeydorney were awarded a penalty but this was well saved. Abbeydorney brought out Stephen O'Connor out to the half back line and he made an immediate impact with his dashing run at Kilmoyley defence with Jason Fealy taking his second goal. Abbeydorney were well tested in this minor game with a young Kilmoyley team with Abbeydorney into the final of the Minor League with wins in all their games.

AIB County Senior Hurling Championship Draws were made live at Christy Ring Game on Saturday ( Preliminary round Kilmoyley vs. South Kerry ), St Brendan's vs. Crotta O'Neill's, Ballyheigue vs. Ballyduff, Abbeydorney vs. Causeway, Lixnaw vs.Winners of Kilmoyley vs. South Kerry.
All teams will have a second chance in losers round.
North Kerry U12 Hurling Blitz was cancelled last Saturday due to a shortage of referees.more details later when this competition will be refixed.
Credit Union County Junior Hurling League Div 3 Kenmare 0-16 Abbeydorney 1-9 Venue Kenmare Wednesday 16th July.
Kenmare were much sharper in the first half of this Junior Hurling game at Kenmare on Wednesday last up 0-9 to 0-3 at half time with points from Tim Fealy (0-1) and Greg Fealy (0-2). Abbeydorney made a few positional changes in the second half and this worked well for them bringing Kenmare back to 2pts in the last 10 minutes with 5pts from Tim Fealy and 1pt from Tony Maunsell and a long range goal from Chris O'Brien with Abbeydorney playing better in the second half. Both Goal Keepers pulled off excellent saves in the dying minutes but Kenmare added 2points to give them a 4point win

North Kerry Senior Hurling League: Lixnaw 0-7, Abbeydorney 0-5 Venue Lixnaw Friday 18th July.
This was the 3rd round North Kerry League game played at Lixnaw on Friday night last played in very dark and misty conditions with scores very hard to come by with Abbeydorney reduced to 14 players after 10 minutes which was to prove costly for the remainder of the game, both teams were level at half time 0-2 each with Brian Leen and Damien Ryall for Abbeydorney and Kieran Dowling and Padraig Fitzmaurice for Lixnaw.
Abbeydorney added 3 points in the second half from PJ Keane Brian Leen and Mike Hannafin from a free and Lixnaw added 5 points from R Thornton (0-2), James Flaherty (0-2) Frees, and Stephen Power (0-1) and Tony McCarthy Lixnaw Keeper pulling off an excellent save in the last few minutes.
This was a good performance from Abbeydorneys Senior team given the number of players on hand at any match, with Sean Stacks, Clare in as trainer with a very good performance from minor players James O'Connor, PJ Keane, Simon Egan, Brian Leen and Padraig Kelly.

Abbeydorney Minors had the first opening game of their sand based pitch versus Causeway on Sunday morning with a good attendance for this minor game. Brian Leen (0-6. 3f) was in top form with excellent points from play and frees, and Daniel O'Mahoney gave Abbeydorney the ideal start with a 50 yard shot which deceived Causeways keeper to roll into the net. Daniel O'Leary slipped inside Causeway rear guard and struck for a well taken goal midway through the first half and Daniel O'Mahoney had a point for Abbeydorney. Causeways scores came from Anthony Fealy (0-2) Adam White (0-1).
Abbeydorney started the better with 4 points from Brian Leen and Daniel O'Mahoney 0-3 from play Andrew Egan, Jason Fealy and Daniel O'Leary added points for Abbeydorney, Causeway were reduced to 14 players in the last few minutes for a heavy challenge on Liam Cleary and Daniel O'Leary finished with his second goal. Causeway's scores came from Mike Murphy, Richard Casey, and Colm Harty a point each,

This was a tight contest throught with little between the teams right from the start, the nominated Referee failed to turn up and Tom Nolan Crotta O'Neill's took over the refereeing. Abbeydorney were awarded a free in the closing minutes but it had to be scored direct.

Abbeydorney Juniors had a much improved outfit for this Junior league game at Caherslee on Wednesday Night last. Both teams ended up level at the end with score for score at either end with Abbeydorney losing their Centre Back David Nolan who was having a mighty game, he suffered a bad break to his finger.

Abbeydorney Minors continued on there good run on Saturday night last without the services of a number of players on both teams. Abbeydorney had 1-3 scored to no score and despite having the majority of play the teams were level at the interval 1-4 apiece with Ballyheigue getting a goal at half time, Padraig Kelly (1-0) and Padraig Dignan the most promising players and Brian Leen (0-5) from frees. Best Players were Padraig Kelly, Padraig Dignan, and Abbeydorney's half back line Chris McCarthy, PJ Keane, Robert Murphy, and Daniel O'Mahoney in the closing minutes with (1-2 ) from play.
2 goals in the second half from Tony Cunningham and Jason Fealy gave Abbeydorney the advantage for the remainder of the game.

Abbeydorney made a good come back after trailing 1-1 in the opening minutes of this match. Brendan O'Leary replied with a goal and points from Chris McCarthy 0-2, Daniel OMahoney 0-3, Brendan O'Leary 0-1, while Gearoid Hussey and Kevin Skinner replied for St Brendan's.
