North Kerry Eddie Godley Under 10 Hurling Blitz was held in Abbeydorney on Saturday 27th June and we had 10 teams taking part, Kilmoyley, Crotta O'Neill's, Duagh, St Brendan's, Causeway, Lixnaw, Ballyheigue, Ballyduff, Kilgarvan and Abbeydorney. Michael Leahy, Abbeydorney's Bord na nÓg Chairman had the draws made for the blitz and all teams were on time for a very successful day for the up and coming players of the future, Causeway and Crotta O'Neill's reached the finals and Causeway had the upper hand in the end winning 2-5 to 1-3, Joe Walsh Chairman North Kerry Bord na nOg Presented the Eddie Godley Memorial Hurling Blitz to Evan Murphy Causeways Captain.
Bill Maunsell c/o GAA Clubhose Bar presented the Player of the Under 10 Blitz to Evan Murphy Causeway.
The Club wishes to thank all the ladies who help out thought the day, all the teams and Referees Nigel Roche, Plunkett McElatton, Sean Roche, and John Ross and all the supporters who turned up on the day.

North Kerry Senior Championship/County League: Causeway 2-18 Abbeydorney 1-16 Venue Abbeydorney on Wednesday 24th June
Abbeydorney and Causeway played a double up game with the North Kerry Senior Championship and County Senior League game up for grabs with Causeway going in at half time up 2-9 to Abbeydorneys 0-11 with Causeway's goals coming from Stephen Goggin on the 9th minute and John Mike Dooley in the 26th Minute. Nigel Roche's goal in 11th minute of the second half which would surely go down as the goal of the year and Brian Donovan scoring 0-8pts and John Mike Dooley finishing with 1-8pts.

Abbeydorney and Causeways under 13 hurlers kept the supporters busy on Tuesday night last with a very high scoring North Kerry Game with Brandon Barrett for Causeway and Michel O'Leary for Abbeydorney in top scoring form.

Thomas O'Rourke goal in the 14th minute gave Ballyduff the ideal start and O'Dorney finished the half to level 1-5 to 0-8pts. O'Dorney added 3 points from Brian O'Donovan and a point each from Michael Hannifin and Brian O'Leary to level the game but Mikey Boyle finished with a point in extra time.

Abbeydorney minors played well in the first half with a goal on the 23rd minute of the first half from Daniel O'Leary after a very good move from Daniel O'Mahoney with O'Dorney going in at half time 1-6 to 0-6. Ballyheigue rallied in the second half scoring 2 goals midway through the second half and held out to win.
Best Player for Abbeydorney was Daniel O'Mahoney at centreback 0-3.

Bord na nÓg News
Important news for the Bord na nÓg Club is that our under 12 Hurlers will get a chance to play in Croke Park on July 7th, the matches will be run on a blitz format, The Bord na nÓg Club will be having a meeting next Monday 22nd June @ 9.30pm to discuss details for trip to Croke Park, All Welcome to Attend. Also the North Kerry Under 10 Hurling Blitz will be held next Saturday the 27th June at 10.30 am in Abbeydorney teams should have the team format for the day already any enquiries to Michael Leahy Coordinator 087 087 1336127.

Lixnaw 1-14 Abbeydorney 1-6 Venue Lixnaw Monday 15th June.
A goal in the opening 6 minutes by Paudie Lyons gave Lixnaw the ideal start and 4 points by Michael Conway with his final point before half time from a sideline cut and 2 points from the hard working John Tweek Griffin and a point from Paudie Lyons gave Lixnaw the advantage at half time 1-7 to 0-2 with O'Dorneys 2 points from Aidan Healy and Tim Fealy.
Abbeydorney substitute Damien Ryall made a big difference when he came on in the second half adding 1-2 and 2 points from Aidan Healy but Lixnaw's best player John Griffin added 3 points from play and 2 each from Padraig and Fergie Fitzmaurice from frees were Lixnaw's final scores.
Best Players: Lixnaws keeper Martin Stackpoole pulled off a number of saves and he had Brendan and Tom Brosnan outside him playing well also but John Griffin was the player stood out on the night. For Abbeydorney Niall O'Connell and David Nolan and Diarmuid Ryan, Barry Sheehan and Paul McElligott.

Abbeydorney went into a 5 point lead when Lixnaw struck back with 2 goals on the 24th and 28th minute but Michael O'Leary hit back with a goal at the other end for O'Dorney who led at half time 1-5 to 2-0.
Abbeydorney added 5 points in the second half and a good point by David Egan left only 3 points win over Lixnaw.

Abbeydorney and Crotta contested the first round of the North Kerry Intermediate Championship on Thursday night last with O'Dorney getting off to a good start up 0-9 to 0-3 at H/T.
Abbeydorney full forward Mark Callaghan added a goal for O'Dorney and a further 9 points in the second half gave O'Dorney an easy win.

St Brendan's 0-14 Abbeydorney 1-10 Venue Ardfert on Sunday 21st June
Abbeydorney and St Brendan's Intermediate teams played a lively tight scoring match on Sunday evening last with St Brendan's having the venue for this final after a toss of a coin. Bill Maunsell registered first for Abbeydorney with a point from play and St Brendan's responded with points from John Galvin and 3 points from the lively Tom Maloney when the game was interrupted due to an injury to St Brendan's full forward Nicholas OSullivan and Ardfert side went in at half time up
0-6 to 0-4.
Abbeydorney got the goal that was badly needed from Chris O'Brien on the 11th minute of the second half and both side scored point for point when St Brendan's managed to get one last point with time up. After the final whistle James O'Connor on behalf of the North Kerry Hurling board presented the cup to St Brendan's Captain and Tomas Maloney received the Man of the Match Award. The Club wishes a speedy recovery to Nicholas O'Sullivan.

A County Committee meeting will be held next Tuesday 16th June @ 8.30pm, all Hurling Clubs are invited to attend.
Féile na nGael
The Féile na nGael competition will be held next Friday 19th June in Laois and Offaly and Kerry will be represented by Abbeylix, Killard, and Causeway in the Camogie Competitions and they will be hosted by Rathdowney GAA Club in County Laois and we send our best wishes to this Kerry team. Kerry won this Competition last year. Best wishes also to St Brendans GAA Club who will be representing Kerry in Hurling.
Kerry Minor Hurlers
The Kerry Minor Hurling team defeated St. Finbarrs Cork recently and they defeated Blackrock last Wednesday night in Kilgarvan. The club is represented by Stephen O'Connor, Brian Leen, Daniel OMahoney.
Summer Camps
Summer Camps will be run at the Abbeydorney Parish Hall for Pre School Children to 7 years of age and the camps will be run from
Monday July 16th to Friday July 10th.
Monday July 13th to Friday July 17th.
Monday July 27th to Friday July 31st.

Div 2 County Senior Hurling League: Abbeydorney 3-10 Causeway 2-11 Venue Abbeydorney Wednesday 3rd June.
Abbeydorney played the final game of Div 2 of the County Senior League on Wednesday night last , a goal in the opening minutes by Tim Fealy gave O'Dorney the ideal start but Causeway struck back with 2 goals in the 18 and 19th minute and took the lead before half time 2-6 to 1-3.
Abbeydorney played much better in the second half with 2 goals from Mark Callaghan and PJ Ryan and held on to win this match by 2 points.
Best Player: David Doyle and Mark Callaghan.

North Kerry Under 13 Hurling League: Kilmoyley 5-5 Abbeydorney 4-4 Venue Lerrig
The first round of the North Kerry Under 13 Hurling League was played in ideal weather conditions on Tuesday night last with O'Dorney very tight with number of players but the team played very well with Steve O'Sullivan standing out at centre back and Michael O'Leary scoring 3-3 and Cian McCarthy adding another good point before half time to leave O'Dorney ahead 3-4 to 1-3.
Kilmoyley came more into the game midway through the second half and added 4 goals with a tight finish to the end but well done to the Black and Amber boys for a good display. Best players Michael O'Leary and Steve O'Sullivan.
