Abbeydorney had a good Opening round of the Senior County League in Abbeydorney on Saturday, Brian O'Donovan scored 3 long range frees from 90yards out in the first half with the 2 goals coming from David Doyle, and points from Ian Maunsell (5) Kieran Hannafin (2) Damien Ryall (1) Ivan McCarthy (1) and led at half time 2-12 to 1-6. Causeway's John Mike Dooley scored 2 extra points in the second half with Abbeydorney giving away soft frees. Damien Ryall had Abbeydorney's 3rd goal and points each from Brian O'Donovan, Ivan McCarthy, Ian Maunsell, Kieran Hannafin. Overall this was a good performance for the first game but they will have to stop giving away silly frees.
