Lá na gClub 10th May 125 years
On Sunday last the 10th May the Club had a wonderful day when we celebrated 125 years of GAA with a very large turnout of Children who all turned out in their County and Club Colours. The Parade through the Village was lead by Anne Costello Kilgublin the holder of 8 All-Ireland Medals and with her holding the Banner was Chris McCarthy Captain of the All-Ireland Causeway A Vocational Schools Winning Team. After the parade which had a lot of drop outs they all returned to the GAA Grounds where Fr. Jack Fitzgerald blessed the Ash tree that was set to mark this 125 years of GAA. All the children had a opportunity planting soil onto the tree.

The Barbeque and shop workers were very busy for the day and our quiz was very hard. I think we will have to get mastermind Tom Healy a break next time.
Thanks to all who turned up for the day to mark this historic day of GAA; also to all the helpers and the Bord na nÓg Club members and Dave Hogan who put together a programme marking all the All-Ireland Medal players from the village.
Please note that due to the short time that we had the some names may have been omitted so if you see any please let us have the details for further information.
