 North Kerry Hurling Board Juvenile AwardsThe North Kerry Juvenile Awards for 2007 were held at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday Night Last with Player of Match Awards going to:
U11 A: Jason Diggins Causeway, U11 B: Michael O'Leary Abbeydorney
U13 A Cian Hussey St Brendan's U13 B Philip Lucid Ballyheigue U14 B Daniel O'Leary Abbeydorney, U15 B Shane Dunne Ballyheigue, U16 A Edward Griffin Kilmoyley, U16 B Brendan Brosnan Lixnaw, and a Special Merit Award went to Shane Dunne Ballyheigue for his achievements in Feile Competitions this year. Ned Flahive Ballyheigue received the Man of Match Award for his performance in the North Kerry Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday evening. All Awards were sponsored by Ballyroe Heights Hotel. (Congratulationss to Kilgarvan on historical win) Lee Strand North Kerry Senior Hurling Championship Final: Ballyheigue vs. Causeway was cancelled on Sunday due to bad weather conditions.
The North Kerry Hurling Board were due to hold their Underage Awards next Friday night 24th November at Ballyroe Heights Hotel (Please Check with Club Officers as this may not go ahead). Mass for Deceased Members
Abbeydorney GAA Club will have their Annual Mass for Deceased Members on Monday 26th November at St Bernard's Church Abbeydorney at 7.30pm,
Toyota Car Raffle
The draw for Toyota car raffle will be made at the Medal Presentation Banquet on December 1st, Raffle tickets are still on sale at County Board Offices @ €10 each
Annual Poker Classic Fundraiser
Killahan National School will hold their Annual Poker Classic on November 30th at McElligotts Bar Abbeydorney with €1500 in Prizes. Entry will be €30 per Person and starts at 8pm sharp, (and due to last years successful fundraiser it would be advisable to get your seat early).
Defibrillator
Following a meeting in Abbeydorney Parish Community Hall, it was agreed that there is a need for an easily accessible Defibrillator for our Community. Training sessions will take place at Bons Secours Hospital on 21st and 28th November from 7pm to 10pm. If you would like to volunteer please contact Margaret Roche Secretary at 066-7135210 (please note first Defibrillator training is booked out) names are been taken for a 2nd course.

News 11th November 2007 AIB County Senior Football Championship Final: Feale Rangers 1-4, South Kerry 0-6 Venue Tralee, Coach and Games Development: A level one Coaching Course will run in the spring of 2008 for Coaches wishing to coach Minor,U21 or Senior. 2007 Opel GPA Sports Star Awards Announced: Dan Shanahan Waterford is Hurler of the year and Mark O Se receives the Footballer of the year. More here Bord na nÓg Bag Packing was held at Dunne Stores in Tralee from Thursday to Saturday this week to raise funds for the Juvenile Club Activities for the year over €1000 was raised which will help run the club for the year.
