North Kerry Hurling Board Awards
The NKHB Juvenile awards were presented at a very enjoyable function held at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday night last. Player of match awards for each of the 9 finals for 2009 were presented by Joe Walsh Vice Chairman of the NKHB to the following players:
Under 11: Michael O'Sullivan St Brendan's
Under 13: Brandon Barrett Causeway and Padraig O'Connor St Brendan's
Under 14: Tadgh Brosnan Lixnaw and Sean Browne Ballyduff
Under 15: Paul McGrath Causeway and Tom McElligott Crotta O'Neill's
Under 16: Tommy Barrett Causeway and Gearoid Silles St Brendan's.
Presentation were also made to club Co-Ordinators who helped out thought the year.
A special Merit Award went to Gerald McKenna Ballyduff for his outstanding service to the Kerry County board and North Kerry Hurling Board.

Club Jerseys
Tralee General Hospital will have Gaa Club Jerseys on display from next Thursday 3rd December all club officers are invited to attend and please note that this function is not open to the public.

Scor Finals
On Sunday next the Scor Finals will be held in the INEC Hotel Killarney starting at 6.30pm

Harty Cup
2007/2008 All-Ireland Champions De La Salle, Waterford were made fight every inch of their way for their 2-12 to 2-9 victory over Kerry Colleges at CIT Grounds in Cork on Wednesday last. A lucky goal by De La Salle full back was deflected into the net for Waterford in the last few minutes of play. Chris McCarty lined out at fullback for Kerry Colleges a had a very good game.

All-Ireland Medal Presentation
On Friday night last the All-Ireland medal presentation of medals to Kerry's Minor and Under 21 teams were presented which took place at the Earl of Desmond Hotel. The County Board served up an excellent night with Johnny Culloty making the presentation to the minor team and Sean Walsh Munster Council Vice Chairman presenting the medals to Kerry Under 21 team. A special presentation was made to Kerry Minor team trainer Gerard McCarthy. Abbeydorney Players to receive Minor Medals were Brian Leen Captain, Daniel O'Mahoney, Chris McCarthy, Stephen O'Connor, Jason Fealy and Under 21 Players Darragh O'Connell and Brian O'Leary.
Good news also came with the announcement that John Myler will train the Kerry Senior Hurlers in 2010.

North Kerry Hurling Board Presentation Night
On Friday night next the 27th November the awards night will be held for all Juvenile players starting at 8pm in Ballyroe Heights Hotel. All welcome to attend.

Mass for Deceased Members
On Monday the 30th November the GAA Club will have its mass for deceased members will be held at St Bernard's Church Abbeydorney at 7pm.

Poker Classic
Killahan National School will hold its Annual Poker Classic at McElligott's Bar in Abbeydorney on Friday Night next 27th November.

The Medal presentation for Kerry Under 21 and Minor All-Ireland winning teams will presented on Friday night next 20th November at the Earl of Desmond Hotel @ 8pm.

The Semi finals of Scor na nOg will be held next Friday night in Abbeydorney Community Hall starting time is 7pm.

Mass for Deceased Members

AGM Notice
The Annual General Meeting of Abbeydorney Gaa Club will be held on Sunday @ 2pm 13th December , venue will be the Gaa Clubhouse, Nomination and Motions must be returned by Sunday Next 22nd November at 9pm to Senior Club Secretary John Joe Fealy.

Minor Hurling Shield Final
Kenmare 2-19 Abbeydorney 0-13 Venue Austin Stacks Park Tralee Saturday 14th November.
Kenmare captured the long awaited Minor Hurling Shield Final on Saturday last in Austin Stacks Park Tralee, two goals by Kenmare midway through the first half left Abbeydorney trying to catch up even though thy had a lot of play and were up against a strong Balanced Kenmare side. Kenmare were up at Half time 2-6 to Abbeydorney 0-8pts with Brian Leen in top form from frees and play with Stephen Connor and Daniel O'Mahoney also adding points.
Kenmare started the livelier in the second half and added 3 points to give them a seven point lead, Abbeydorney were denied 3 goal chances and all were saved by Kenmare keeper to deny O'Dorney any chance of making a come back. Kenmare added 13 points to O'Dorneys 5 points in the second half.

County Senior Football Championship
South Kerry Defeated Dr Crokes on Sunday last in Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney with a late point to win on a score
of 1-8 to 0-10.

Munster Club Intermediate Championship
Kilmoyley were defeated in Extra time in Pairc Uí Rinn on Sunday last by Douglas Cork on a score
Douglas 1-23 Kilmoyley 1-12 AET.

On Saturday Night last we had the Fancy Dress Party for Halloween and this turned out to be a good night for all.
