This match was changed from Monday night to Saturday due to weather conditions. Abbeydorney built up a good score in first 15 minutes; up 6 points from free by Ivan McCarthy but Causeway started to score from here on points by Tadgh Flynn and John Mike Dooley before Dooley was left unmarked to crash the ball to Abbeydorney net. Aidan Healy pointed a 65 before half time to leave the score Abbeydorney 0-9, Causeway 1-3. In the second half John Mike Dooley pointed 2 frees and Aidan Healy and Damien Ryall pointed at the other end, while John Mike Dooley pointed 2 frees for over charging by Willam O'Leary. Ivan McCarthy replied with a pointed free and Kenneth Leahy had a good point from centre back and a free by J M Dooley and a point by Shane Sheehan before full time.

The junior hurlers reached the North Kerry Junior Final after a tough game with Lixnaw on Wednesday night last. O'Dorney led in the first quarter by 3 points and Lixnaw drew level after a few minutes. Lixnaw added 2 more points from frees before half time Lixnaw 0-5 ODorney 0-3 Abbeydorney made changes in second half Tony Maunsell moved to centre forward and Eoin Egan in at centre back and with Francis Egan and John Maunsell now playing very well Abbeydorney kept the pressure on Lixnaw with the minimum between the sides all through the game. Abbeydorney held on by 3 points (A big improvement by the junior team after this match as the team could just about field teams over the last number of games).

Rule 42: Soccer and Rugby will be allowed in Croke Park following a historic vote at GAA Congress on Saturday last. The motion to temporarily open GAA headquarters while Landsdowne Road is under redevelopment was passed by more than required two thirds majority as 227 delegates voted in favour of change against 97 No votes the vote win comes as a suprise given that earlier in the day a motion hold by a secret ballot was passed.

Abbeydorney played with the strong breeze in the first half; 5 points by Ivan McCarthy from frees and play and a high ball floated in by Michael Hanafin into Lixnaw goalmouth deceived Lixnaw keeper for a goal for O'Dorney. 2 points by Mike Conway and a point by Reggie Galvin kept Lixnaw in touch before Ivan McCarthy took a free from 65 yard line to go all the way to the Lixnaw net before halftime.

Abbeydorney 2-4, Lixnaw 0-3. In the second half Abbeydorney battled hard with Mike Conway Lixnaw getting 3 points from frees and a 25 yard free rattled Abbeydorney net and a Reggie Galvin point before Kieran Hanafin went on a solo run at Lixnaw goals to kick the ball to Lixnaw net to leave O'Dorney ahead by 3points.
On the stoke of full time Lixnaw were awarded a 30 yard free which was well taken by Mike Conway and saved by Aidan Healy.

After heavy showers of rain both teams took to the pitch but no referee turned up and Ladys Walk Pa Enright took over the refeering. Abbeydorney played well in the first half with Tim Fealy O'Dorney keeper pulling off a good save and back line of Brian O'Leary and David Clifford and tommy O'Halloran playing well.

Lady walk continued to score in the second half and Abbeydorney had a good chance of a goals but it hit the cross bar.

In the second half Abbeydorney battled hard despite missing a number of players away at college.
