The North Kerry B League Final was played in Abbeydorney on Monday night last. Abbeydorney played with a slight breeze and missed a few opening chances of scores; Ballyheigue opened the scoring with a point from Willie Joe Leen and Damien Ryall replied with a point for O'Dorney. Ned Flahive connected with a ground ball and had a good point, Ian Maunsell pointed 2 frees for ODorney and Ned Flahive replied with a point, and Ian Maunsell pointed a free on Ivan McCarthy. Abbeydorney had a good spell at this stage with Hannafin brothers combination with a good point by Mike and a point by Ivan McCarthy, and Dermot Griffin had a point for Ballyheigue. Abbeydorney had 3 points before half time from Damien Ryall and Ian Maunsell. H/T ODorney 0-9 Ballyheigue 0-6
The second half continued with a lot of frees from both sides. Ballyheigue had 2 frees on Michael Boxer Slattery and Kieran O'Mahoney point, Tony Maunsell took a fast free into Damien Ryall and he had a good point. A free on mike hannafin resulted a point by Ian Maunsell and boxer slattery pointed a free, Ian Maunsell finished the match with a free for a foul on himself. This was a good result for the Black and Amber boys as they have reached the A League Finals the last 2 years and contested 3 North Kerry B League titles before that losing all the finals

St Brendans claimed the Tommy O'Sullivan Cup on Saturday night last after a tough game of hurling with Abbeydorney with the minimum between the sides all through the match with Alex Morrissey in charge of the whistle and doing a very good job at refeering. Abbeydorney had 2 points from Ian Maunsell from a free and play; Brian O'Laughlin connected with a save made by Tim Fealy at the other end and ended in the net;Chris O'Brien fielded a long puck out and scored a good point but Tony O'Halloran goaled for St Brendans and Tony Maunsell scored a good point from the 45 yard line. Ian Maunsell took a good side line cut and put it over the bar and St Brendans had a number of frees to keep them in the lead before Chris O'Brien rattled St Brendans net and John Maunsell added another point before half time to level matters leaving a half-time score of Abbeydorney 1-7, St Brendans 2-4. In The second half Ian Maunsell added 3 points from frees and a goal from 25 metres out and Chris O'Brien scored a point to level the scores again.
