Abbeydorney played one of their worst games of the Co. Senior Hurling Leagues in Abbeydorney on Friday night last. Lixnaw looked sharper in the first half with points from Mike Conway. Aidan Healy replied with a 65 metre free  & Ivan McCarthy scored 3points from frees & 1 point from play.,Abbeydorney were struck with a severe blow losing David O’Connell in the 15 th minute with a broken leg.

Abbeydorney improved slightly in second half points from 3 points IvanMccarthy & 2 points from Aidan Healy & Barry Sheehan & 2goals from Kieran Hanafin
Lixnaw  had points from Tweekie Griffin & 2 points from Ray Galvin & 2 from Mike Conway

Results: Credit Union Co Senior Hurling League   Abbeydorney 4-9 Causeway 1-13           20-6-04
Played inidealconditions in a well-maintained Causeway pitch on Friday last Abbeydorney made amends for there very poorperformance against Lixnaw earlier in the week.
Causeway's Cyril Dineen opened the scoring with a point in first minute. Abbeydorney had 2 points from Tim Fealy & Damien Ryall in the 8th & 9th minute & Beano O'Donovan received a good pass from Tony Maunsell to score another point. Causeway were awarded a free in the 15th minute which Shane Harty floated in & was deflected off a defender for a goal for Causeway & Points from Cormac Flynn & Conor Harty & Stephen Goggin. Ivan McCarthy pointed a free & Beano O'Donovan scored a point & scored a good goal in the 22nd minute; Shane Harty & John Joe Canty had 2 points for Causeway & Kieran Hanafin pulled on a ground ball for a goal in the 28th minute.
Half time Score: Abbeydorney 2-4, Causeway 1-7
Abbeydorney had the aid of a slight breeze in second half & Causeway opened the scoring with 2 points from Cyril Dineen & Stephen Goggin. Ivan McCarthy replied with 2 points in the 5th & 7th minute. Ted Burke scored a point for Causeway.
Then came Abbeydorney's 3rd goal: lively Kieran O'Connell soloed into Causeway's 30 yard line & passed a ball to Damien Ryall to blast the ball to the net in 18th minute.
Two points from Ivan McCarthy & Tim Fealy in 19th & 20th minute,Cyril Dineen pointed for Causeway,Tim Fealy scored Abbeydorney's 4th Goal in the 24th minute and Causeway replied with points from Cyril Dineen & Shane Harty.
Beano O'Donovan scored Abbeydorney's final point from 65 yards out.
